Is it Easy to Install? [ + ]
Absolutely, Alfred smart locks are designed for DIYers by allowing you to replace your existing deadbolt lock and reuse your 2-1/8" bore hole. We also teamed up with BILT to provide Electronic Instruction guide via the BILT App to help you with every step.
Will Alfred fit my door? [ + ]
Quite likely. Alfred fits in most standard doors with a 2-1/8" Bore hole, and installation is simple. Take a look at the installation video or check out the BILT App for full digital instructions and step by step guide. You’ll have it working in no time.
Does Alfred work with a key? [ + ]
Our DB2B, DB1-A and DB1-B lock models all offer keyed entry, in addition to the keypad. Just a little added piece of mind, should you need it.
What do I do if I forget to replace the batteries? [ + ]
Don't worry, all Alfred locks have an emergency power port (micro-USB) on the bottom of the front panel in case your batteries die before you can change them. This allows you to plug in any small power pack, or even a cord from your own phone to provide power to the lock so you can enter your Pin Code and access your home. Also don't worry, the Alfred Home app allows you to track your battery life of the device so you can be proactive and replace your batteries before they completely die
Will Alfred work with my smart home system? [ + ]
Alfred Smart Locks are equipped to work with multiple Smart Home system like Vera/Ezlo, Samsung SmartThings and Hubitat via Zwave Connection.(DB2 Zwave Module required for DB2 and DB2-B Models and DB1-B and DB1-C units with built in Zwave). You can also add an Alfred Connect Wifi Unit with your Alfred Smart Lock which will give you access to both Google Home Assistant and Amazon Alexa, where you can lock, unlock and ask for a status check of your Smart Locks just with your voice.
Can Alfred speak different languages? [ + ]
Yes! Voice prompts are available in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Mandarin on all DB2 Series Smart Locks.
Can i control my Lock remotely when I'm not at Home? [ + ]
When you pair any of our Alfred Smart Locks with the Alfred Connect Wifi Integration System (sold Separately) you can remote access your Alfred Smart Lock via the Alfred Home App. This will allow you to lock and unlock your device, or just check on the status of your lock from anywhere in the world as long as there is an active wifi connection with your home. Never second guess if you forgot to lock your door ever again!
